Our teachers and students are discovering new ways to teach and learn

Examples of Student & Teacher Work:

Chatham Park
Ms. Lesniak’s first grade has been working very hard researching and reading about animals that live in the rain forest. After lots of research and note taking in the library with Mrs. Wetzel, partner editing, and meeting with Ms. L, these first graders have come up with quite a set of podcasts for you to enjoy!

Chestnutwold

Students are doing book reviews as podcasts. These audio files are place on a web site so they are accessible to all from home as well as school.

Coopertown
Mrs. Gilronan's  2nd grade class commuincated with Ashwini (classmates), via a wiki, when she moved to Barcelona for a semester. They followed her travels on Google Earth, shared pictures, and learned about the new culture she was exploring. In return, Mrs. Gilronan's class posted videos and continued to keep Ashwinin up to date on the events occuring at Coopertown. Aswini even participated in the Coopertown presidential elections via an absentee ballot!

We all benefit from the  talents of the video editing class who created this AP Art video. This is a great example of "school" work becoming "real" work.

This student project was to create a biased video from the Bolshevik perspective
